On the first 57 pages of the book, it was of 2 stories.
Summary:
The main two characters are Sherlock and Watson, they are partners in crime solving. When a new person comes through the door, Sherlock could tell how tall that person was, what is his/her profession, and many other things about their identity. Like the time his comrade and old partner, Dr. Watson walked into his office after 2 years of not being able to see each other, Sherlock could already tell that it was Watson that was gonna walk through the door, he could tell that he has been practicing his medical abilities from the smell of some herbs from his cloak.
On the first story of the book, Sherlock helps solve a case against a woman who has stolen a prized picture from a king. As the king directly ask for help from Sherlock, he's cover was blown almost immediately by Sherlock, in uter suprisement the king frantically takes of his mask and asks the detective how he did it. Sherlock expains it through a series of observation, after the king told Sherlock of what his problem was, Sherlock stood up and commenced on the case right away. In the ending of the story the picture is retrieved when they ravaged the house of an actress who had stolen the king's picture while acting as a man in his palace. The woman wrote a letter to Sherlock telling him that she was very surprised of how he had closed the case in just 3 days. Addmitting all her faults she and her husband fled England and moved out to another country.
On the second story of the book, it is entitled "A Redheaded Leauge". I it is bascially about when Watson goes to visit Sherlock and finds him talking with a man with red hair. The man was talking about the problems concerning an organization for which he was working but that has mysteriously disappeared. In the end of the story they found ou that the people that were in charge of that company were plotting to just go into Wilson's house and start diging a tunnel leading straight to the bank, luckyly they were found out and the bank was safe.
